Steffan has a history of successful engagements at companies such as Microsoft, Rockwell Automation, Alpha Technologies, Starbucks, IBM (Rational Software Division), Maersk, GE Capital, Greenbrier, Schnitzer Industries, Yamato, Canadian Pacific and MacDonald Dettwiler. Steffan was responsible for The Scientist Magazine’s career site, the number two niche site in the pharma/biotech industry. During his tenure with The Scientist, Steffan generated new accounts with over 35% of the top 25 Pharmaceutical companies including Lilly, Dow, Pfizer, Baxter and GE Medical and increased unique visitors to the site by 26% over the previous year. Additionally, Steffan played a key role in the success of the career fair at BIO, the largest industry conference with over 14,000 attendees. Steffan is a charter member of the Seattle Staffing Management Association (SMA —previously EMA) as well as a member of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
