TalentRise is excited to announce the appointment of Laura Barker as the new Director of Coaching and Leadership Development. Laura brings over 20 years of business experience in human resources and project management, specializing in compensation and benefit program design, talent management, and performance improvement programs. 

Laura has extensive international corporate experience relating to cultural transformation related to mergers and acquisitions. She has successfully partnered with small, mid-market, and large national and international companies across a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical, hospitality, employee engagement, supply chain, and food manufacturing. Her work has consistently driven organizational growth and enhanced employee engagement. 

In her new role at TalentRise, Laura will focus on leadership coaching, helping executives and managers steer with purpose, develop key leadership skills, and gain clarity to maximize personal insight and professional growth. Her holistic and strategic approach to leadership development is expected to greatly benefit TalentRise’s clients, enhancing their leadership capabilities and organizational effectiveness.

Laura holds a B.A. from McGill University and is coach-certified with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). She is also an ACC and CPCC Certified Coach. Beyond her professional achievements, Laura has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service as Past Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and Member of the Board of Governors for an independent school in Toronto. She is also the Co-Founder of 100 Women Who Care’s Toronto West Chapter, showcasing her dedication to impactful philanthropic initiatives.
